What did you do today?

Today, Mark and I saw 15 000 Buddhas. Just outside a small Chinese city (6 million inhabitants) called Luoyang, we visited the 'Longmen Caves'. A valley in which emperors of the ancient dynasties carved and sculpted statues of Buddha into a precipitous valley wall. The purpose of the enterprise was to ingratiate themselves with God, but at the same time it was tempting method of outwardly showing their wealth.
