What we saw from the train window

Hello team,

This is what we saw from the train window, travelling nine hours west from Qufu to Luoyang:

-Trees being planted here, there and everywhere to slow soil erosion.
-Tumbledown housing
-Cranes and construction
-Grandiose piles of collected and separated junk
-Soviet style housing littered around city outskirts
-Flat land as far as the eye could see (in the great dust clouds, the eye could not see so far)
-Fields, bike tracks, bicyclists
-Hundreds of kilometres of stagnant irrigation pools following the lines of the train tacks, always strewn with litter; fishermen around these pools
-Railway workers in yellow jackets
-Long coal trains and outsized power plants
-Dust

ttfn,

M & T
