Bed heads and hang outs.
So listen, we've been trying really hard. First thing, eagle like, we spotted the bed heads our Chinese hosts wear so eagerly when out and about. Generally, a spruce sticks up right at the top; or for flair, a ledge at the side. The bed head accentuates walking and nodding in particular. Since we are flairful characters through and through, we have also adopted strong side ledges. This helps us both to integrate ourselves and to impress the many who stare as we pass. Tommy, youthful and bold, has chosen to complement his regular right side ledge with a frontal hair horn. This gives him strength and confidence. I, somewhat older and streetwiser, have created a loping, undulating rear right side ledge, which reveals both an artistic temperament and a joking manner.
Secondly, we have run into social trouble, since we can't work out where the Chinese hang out. See, there are no cafes and no bars. In the restaurants you eat then leave, and the teahouses are few and far between. It was too cold to hang out in the streets in Beijing, and here in Qufu (9 hours south), we're lost. So we walk a lot, but don't talk enough, and it's frustrating. What do you think, where do the Chinese hang out? We'll try out your suggestions.

Marky
